The Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) offers elements of a variety of evidence-based counselling services, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, EMDR, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Our model also incorporates mindfulness, somatic work, grounding activities, drawing, and meditation. The ITATM focusses on a nervous system level that gets to the root of the issues that are causing distress.
Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, is a treatment method used to help clients manage a wide range of emotional, psychological, and behavioural issues. It involves structured conversations to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships, with the goal of improving mental health and overall well-being.
Children and youth often struggle with mental health such as anxiety and depression and this shows up in many different ways. Family issues such as separation and divorce, adoption/attachment trauma, bullying, death of loved ones are some examples. Whatever they are experiencing, we can help. Trauma specific therapy, as well as psychotherapy can be helpful in addressing the issues that are coming up through regulation strategies and trauma processing.
We are excited to add couple's and family therapy to our services.
Marriage and family therapy is a form of psychotherapy that addresses the behaviors of all family members and the way these behaviors affect not only individual family members but also relationships between members and the family unit as a whole.
Caregiver sessions are helpful in supporting caregivers while their loved one is struggling. Caregiver sessions can include support/assistance with safety planning, important resources, and general education. Caregiver sessions can also be a helpful way to manage their own big emotions while supporting the needs of their loved ones.
All sessions are provided in a warm, comfortable environment where you, the client, has full autonomy over what the focus will be.
Lindsay O'Neil Trauma & Psychotherapy will work with and alongside you, working together to better understand and resolve the overwhelming emotions, thoughts, and behaviours that are impeding your ability to fully engage and enjoy daily life.
Session rates are eligible for submission to benefit companies. It is the client's responsibility to ensure their benefit provider covers services from a registered master of social worker (MSW, RSW) designation and/or a registered psychotherapist (RP).
