FAQS

Answers to Your Questions

  • What is the ITATM trauma therapy model?

The Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model is a trauma-specific protocol designed to regulate the nervous system while processing distressing memories. It helps create new neural templates, so traumatic experiences no longer feel overwhelming in the present.

  • Do you offer therapy for children and teens?

Yes. We provide child and youth therapy for ages 7 to 17. Sessions address anxiety, depression, attachment challenges, school stress, and emotional regulation in a supportive, developmentally appropriate environment.

  • Are your services covered by insurance plans?

Our clinicians include Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists. Many extended health benefit plans provide reimbursement for these designations. We recommend confirming coverage directly with your insurance provider.

  • Is online therapy available in Ontario?

Yes. In addition to in-person sessions in Welland, we offer secure virtual therapy across Ontario. Online sessions follow the same evidence-based approaches and confidentiality standards as in-person care.

  • How do I know if trauma therapy is right for me?

If you experience persistent distress, intrusive memories, emotional numbness, or strong physical reactions connected to past events, trauma-focused therapy may help. An initial consultation can determine the best approach for your needs.
